See how real clients' comfort, confidence and control with penetration improved during the programme.
Vaginismus can affect much more than penetration. It can influence how a woman feels about her body, how much control she believes she has, and her confidence in other areas of life.
That is why the Vaginismus-Free Programme measures both practical progress with penetration and changes in the fears, beliefs and thinking patterns that can maintain vaginismus.
How these results were measured
Clients completed detailed programme questionnaires at the start and again 6–7 weeks later. This allows us to measure how their responses changed over time.
The charts below show self-reported results from 25 clients who completed the programme in November 2023. The follow-up scores were collected at 6–7 weeks, before the clients had reached the end of the programme, so further progress is likely to have continued.
Comfort with penetration
The higher scores after 6–7 weeks represents greater comfort and confidence with penetration experiences
Building powerful beliefs about penetration
This chart shows the significant reduction in fear, worry and lack of control around penetration.
The lower scores after 6–7 weeks means fewer clients still held that belief.
Improvements in wellbeing and mindset
The programme goes way beyond helping women to overcome vaginismus, and helps them to thrive in all areas of their life.
For their sense of power and control, coping skills, self-esteem and social confidence - a higher later score indicates improvement. For perfectionist, brooding and catastrophic thinking, a lower later score indicates improvement.
